A Boy’s Life
Boy with frog and slingshot
Edition of 20
Dimensions: life size
After spending time with a northwest family, in which the parents wished to have permanent images of their children, Rip was able to conceptualize what the parents have called “perfect snapshots” of their two sons and daughter.
This sculpture shows the oldest son enjoying his favorite pasttime catching frogs and salamanders at the creek on the family property. His slingshot pokes out from his back pocket, ready to take aim at a nearby tree or rock.
